TMMP Awards will be an online experience to mark the new environment created out of the pandemic which has blighted our lives, yet presents us with an opportunity for renewed hope and creative energy in the midst of change.
It was during the May 2020 lockdown that conversations between UK music industry professionals Andrew and Shireen Morrison (Visions TV Online) and Eric Reverence (Entrepreneur & Artist) formed the initial vision for the music & media platform awards (TMMP Awards). They realised the lack of opportunity to celebrate established & emerging talent indirect association with the media platform that continually supports them.
Shireen Morrison says, – “There are a long list of artist like Graham Kendrick, Dave Bilbrough, Noel Robinson, Matt Redman, Tim Hughes, Muyiwa, Lurine Cato, Raymond & Co, Lara Martin and Guvna B all attesting to the breadth of influence and engagement their contributions has made in the nation and across the globe. The fact that we have fresh talent emerging all the time like Still Shadey, Reblah, Becca Folkes, Emmanuel Smith, Tom Smith and Josh Gauton means that our media platforms stay relevant to the audiences they serve and we need to applaud this more. We needed to do something that uplifts us all and show our appreciation of what it means to be ‘Kingdom-minded“.
Andrew Morrison added, “We have registered TMMP Awards as a charity based organisation and we intend to expose our scene to more UK music lovers“.
The virtual ceremony will consist of a series of musical performances and presentations of awards. There will also be an opportunity for Media Platforms to lead breakout rooms, where artists and the general public can enter to find out more about the platforms and the services they provide.
Eric Reverence stated, “we were glad to hold meetings throughout the past year with various UK media outlets who are now also partners of TMMP Awards. Therefore a major outcome is that TMMP Awards will build and strengthen unity between the various music media platforms whilst recognising talented and dedicated Artists, Musicians and Community Heroes.”
